Zak Hills-Brown becomes Under 14 Korean Kata World Champion.

Zak Hills-Brown in year 8 has great news to report:

" Last month, I flew out to America to the WMAGC 2017 World Games to represent Team GB in three different styles of martial arts alongside 23 of my teammates including four others from my club.

The tournament was condensed from three days into two because of the anticipated arrival of hurricane Irma. These were two very long but amazing days that I will remember forever the first was mainly for juniors and I competed in most of my categories then but I stayed to support my teammates and watch everything going on around us.

The second day was when I competed in my team events. Between competing it was a constant rush to change gear for my next category but just before I was set to fight or perform the nerves would sink in and I would have to keep calm and try not to show how I was feeling however once I stepped onto the mat the nerves changed to excitement and adrenaline.

I was focused and ready. I won three Gold medals (in Korean kata, team kumite and team points fighting) one Silver medal (in Japanese kata) and one Bronze (in continuous fighting).

My proudest moment was becoming Under 14 Korean Kata World Champion."

Congratulations Zak - all the hard work you have put into training has really paid off!
