An 11-16 Academy
Congratulations! to Year 10 pupils who achieved 4 Silver and 10 Bronze awards in the recent UK Maths Challenge and to Year 9 pupils who achieved 5 Bronze awards in the same competition.
Statistically speaking...that means a stunning 44% of our Key Stage 4 pupils who took part won an award.
Year 10 Silver: Elizabeth Wootton, Marty Gionis, Skye Lintott and Samuel Green
Year 10 Bronze: Hayden Kent, Joshua Watson, Matthew Knight, George Jagger,
Ciaran Carr, Joseph Most, Georgia Eaton, Kerry Scarfe, Percy Whinney and Will Lynch.
Year 9 Bronze: Isla Whittle, Harry Mullen, Kimberley Talbot, Ted Hurren and George Garrard.
Certificates will be awarded in a forthcoming assembly.
The UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) is a registered charity whose aim is to advance the education of children and young people in mathematics. The UKMT organises national mathematics competitions and other mathematical enrichment activities for 11-18 year old UK school pupils and in the last academic year, over 600,000 pupils from 4,000 schools took part in the three individual challenges, the UK's biggest national maths competitions.
The School's next challenge will be on April 28th, for Year 7 and 8 pupils.
