An 11-16 Academy
On Friday 27th February 2015, all Year 11 Geographers will be visiting Norwich for the day in order to collect the data needed to complete their GCSE controlled assessment.
The visit will involve recording information about the availability of fairtrade products and services in Norwich city centre and talking to local members of the public to survey their attitudes towards the concept of fairtrade as well as gather their views on the availability and desirability of Fairtrade products and services.
This fieldwork is an essential part of the GCSE controlled assessment component which is worth a total of 25% of the Geography GCSE and it is a requirement that each pupil collects his/her own primary data.
Pupils will be leaving school soon after morning registration at around 9.15am and will return to school by 3.30pm. Pupils are required to wear school uniform and will be outside, so warm waterproof outdoor clothing will be necessary. A packed lunch will be required, if your child normally receives a free school meal, a packed lunch will be provided.
Please ensure that monies and consent forms are returned to school by Friday 13th February 2015 at the latest.
