Year 11 Business students get set to challenge local businesses

Year 11 pupils, in the second year of their GCSE, are busy writing surveys to help complete the 'real life' part of their course.

After choosing a local company to work with, pupils have to become business consultants and challenge business owners about how they motivate staff, recruit effectively, boost cash flow or perform other functions they have studied in depth.  The resulting reports comprise 25% of their GCSE grade so they need to be watertight, full of analysis, evaluation and recommendations - who needs The Dragon's Den?
