Stradbroke Students Perform at Prestigious 'Raising the Bar' Awards

Talented performing arts students from Stradbroke High School were invited by Suffolk County Council to open the county's prestigious 'Raising the Bar' education awards evening at Trinity Park in Ipswich on Monday 26th June. This annual event celebrates the success, achievements and hard work shown by individuals and educational organisations in Suffolk. Stradbroke High School was runner up in 2016 in the category of educational environment of the year.

Drama and music students from Stradbroke performed a polished and expressive medley of songs from their recent full school production of 'The Sound of Music' to an appreciative audience of over four hundred guests. It was an honour to have been invited by the senior leadership of Suffolk education to open the ceremony. A detailed report of the 2017 awards can be found in the East Anglian Daily Times.
