Royal Institution Christmas Science Lectures

On the 11th December 2014 we took 12 pupils from years 7-11 to London to watch the filming of this year's lectures entitled "How to Hack Your Home". Our pupils had their photos taken and they were broadcast on a large screen in Piccadilly Circus during the performance. We learned about an LED screen works and how Raspberry Pi computers can be used to film a scene from the Matrix film. The Shell building in London was turned into a video game screen and a member of the audience played Tetras on it.

The series of three lectures was broadcast on BBC4 on the 29th-31st December and are available to watch on BBC iPlayer and the Royal Institute website (http://www.rigb.org/)
