An 11-16 Academy
Year 10 pupils have made a fantastic impression on business people and learned some valuable tips about how to apply for jobs and college courses. 12 local business people participated in the 15 minute interviews along with all of year 10. Managing Director of Ufford Park Hotel, Golf and Leisure, Tarnia Robertson also ran a workshop for pupils on how to achieve success with a winning C.V. and interview. Lynn Baldry, (mock) interviewing for a role as Cabin Crew at British Airways said: " Please can you pass on to the pupils how impressed I was with their maturity, politeness and knowledge. They had all obviously put a lot of effort and time into the task. It must have been quite daunting for them but they were all absolutely charming. If I had really had a position at BA they all would have got the job." Our thanks go out to all our BASH members who volunteered their time and expertise and to Suffolk County Council's apprenticeships team who ran a workshop about the future of apprenticeships.
The main hall was buzzing with well prepared answers from year 10 pupils who had all applied in writing for mock roles.
