Jack Gionis awarded scholarship at The Royal College of Music

Congratulations to former Deputy Head Boy Jack Gionis who has been awarded a scholarship to study Composition at The Royal College of Music, London.

Head of School, Mr Axtell said “We are so proud of Jack who from Year 7 was a talented musician.  Jack made an outstanding contribution to music and extra-curricular activities at Stradbroke High School which supported his successful application for a Pembroke Scholarship at Framlingham College. It is gratifying to see how Jack has put this scholarship to excellent use as we knew he would. He is a committed musician who works hard at everything he does and his scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music will give him the greatest of opportunities to continue to develop in the field in which he is passionate”. Jack will be supporting the orchestra at the School’s forthcoming production of The Sound of Music from February 22nd – 24th.
