An 11-16 Academy
Following our school tradition, Year 11 students who were nominated to be Head Girl, Head Boy or a Prefect recently enjoyed a trip to London to Westminster. As well as visiting the Jewel Tower at Westminster Palace, they enjoyed a tour of the Houses of Parliament, and found out among many other things, why Her Majesty the Queen is not allowed into the House of Commons. After learning about the monarchy, the history of the art at the palace and the role of government and parliament, students also enjoyed a visit to Whitehall, past the Cenotaph and Downing Street and to Horseguards Parade - with lunch in St James Park. A memorable trip, acknowledging the important part these students will play this year in the school community.
