Nigel Brown, Chairman of FOSH gives an update of its successful fundraising activities:
Xmas came early once again for the pupils of the High School this year, with a huge hamper of goodies being delivered as follows:
Three large exam hall alarm clocks.
Eco-friendly outdoor picnic tables.
A large outdoor table-football game.
Additional equipment for the extended Food Technology room.
Badges for new School Senior prefects.
Lunchtime games for all.
Repair and refurbishment of the sewing machines for a new course.
New Microscopes for science department to increase availability.
In addition, we have just donated £4,000 to purchase new sound and lighting equipment for the school halls. This will now be used at all future productions, awards evenings and other community events.
Our 2017 plan of fundraising is now confirmed as below:
22nd – 24th Feb at 7pm Licensed bar at "The Sound of Music” High School production.
Fri 17th March 7.30pm “Beat the Teacher” Quiz night in the School Hall.
Sat 22nd April 8am – 1pm NEW Jumble Sale and Breakfast Café.
Thurs 29th June Summer concert refreshments.
Friday 30th June Sports Day support.
Sun 3rd Sept 10am -4pm “Even bigger and better” High School CARnival.
Sat 4th Nov 8am-12 Scrap metal collection - Back again by popular demand !
Sat 9th Dec Xmas craft Fair, NEW Santa's grotto and Xmas draw.
