On Thursday 16th March a group of Year 11 pupils attended a UK film premier at Wymondham High School. The film followed the artist Manfred Bockelmann on his journey to document the children killed during the Nazi regime. Bockelmann's haunting, charcoal portraits are at the centre of the film; a powerful and emotional documentary.

Year 11 pupil Maria Sunshine gives her take on the experience:

'The documentary, Drawing Against Oblivion, was incredibly powerful and moving. We saw very young children and people our own age. I found this made it easier to connect with them. The film was made in such a sensitive way that left the entire room touched.'

Many thanks to Wymondham college for inviting our pupils to experience such a powerful film.
