Soon after the new kit was opened, the peripherals plugged in and power turned on then pupils started using Python to instruct Minecraft and make a difference to their world...and to others' worlds through the LAN.

 

It all got quite competitive...

and soon, pupils remembered the necessary syntax to create their own rules for Minecraft...

Ben Anderson is the STEM representative leading Code Club on behalf of the school...

With step by step instructions, pupils soon got the hang of it and created their own code...

Next week, things will be more adventurous as keen pupils' start to unleash the power of the syntax they are using!

For some, using Scratch was just as engaging.
