Book Mastermind is a competition open to all pupils in Years 7-9 and is a vehicle for promoting reading. Students are required to answer 20 questions on a fiction book of their choice within a two minute time frame, under the spotlight, seated on a replica of the Mastermind TV show's black chair.

The winner of the school heat goes on to compete in the Area Finals and is then invited to the County Finals in the Spring.

All those who take part in school are taken to the Norfolk Children’s Book Centre to each choose a fiction title to go on the Library shelves with a bookplate in their name.
