On 21st September the GCSE Drama group went to the Theatre Royal in Norwich to see the long running hit musical 'Blood Brothers'.  'Blood Brothers' is a multi-award winning show which has seen 10,000 performances in London's West End.  It is only one of three musicals ever to achieve that milestone.   The fact that our pupils were able to see it at a 'local' theatre was an opportunity not to be missed!

Written by Willy Russell, the show tells the story of twin boys, who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences.

The cast were superb, fronted by Lyn Paul, who played the central role of Mrs Johnstone, the woman who agreed to give one of her babies away.  The mix of humour and tragedy had us all on the edge of our seats as we witnessed the unfolding of the truth.  The actors who played the two boys, Eddie and Mickey , skilfully took us on a journey through their childhood from when they first meet, aged seven, to their late twenties, and their final meeting.

If the show comes to Norwich again go and see it - you will not be disappointed!
