Stradbroke High School Summer Concert 2018

An appreciative audience of family and friends packed the main hall on Thursday 28th June for our annual summer concert. The evening opened with a polished performance of the iconic James Bond film theme 'Goldfinger' by the school's orchestra. Musical Joy for Elsie

Stradbroke Pyramid Music Morning 2018

On Tuesday 3rd July, the music department at Stradbroke High School welcomed over sixty excited and enthusiastic Year 5 pupils from our feeder primary schools to our annual music morning. The vast majority brought the musical instruments that they are learning at primary school in order to take a full and active part in the day.

ISM Bronze Certificate in Music for Stradbroke High School

Stradbroke High School has been awarded an ISM Bronze Certificate by the Incorporated Society of Musicians for recognition of the excellent work that it does for music in the school. This result is based on the fact that more than 10% of the GCSE Key Stage 4 cohort in 2017 took and achieved an A* - C in music. This puts Stradbroke in the top 526 schools across England.

Stradbroke Musicians Inspired by Benjamin Britten

The music department would like to express sincere thanks to the Britten-Pears Foundation for allowing Year 10 musicians to visit 'The Red House' in Aldeburgh on the morning of the 21st February. Stradbroke High School Christmas Concert 2017

Stradbroke High School musicians celebrated the arrival of Christmas in style with their annual Christmas concert in the main hall. Outstanding Music Results for Class of 2017

Stradbroke Students Perform at Prestigious 'Raising the Bar' Awards

Talented performing arts students from Stradbroke High School were invited by Suffolk County Council to open the county's prestigious 'Raising the Bar' education awards evening at Trinity Park in Ipswich on Monday 26th June. This annual event celebrates the success, achievements and hard work shown by individuals and educational organisations in Suffolk. ISM Award for Music Department

Stradbroke High School awarded Silver Certificate by the Incorporated Society of Musicians

Stradbroke High School has been awarded the ISM / ISM Trust’s Silver Certificate. This means that more than 15% of all the school’s GCSE students achieved an A* to C in GCSE music. This award for achievement in music places Stradbroke High in the top 129 schools in the whole country.
