Good news!

I am delighted to inform you of two recent developments. A bid by the school to the Academies Capital Maintenance Fund (ACMF) has been successful in gaining £910,000 to improve infrastructure, including the heating and windows.

My thanks and congratulations for this successful bid go to Heidi Ash, our School Business Manager.

It is pleasing that the school can continue to provide an excellent learning environment for all our pupils as we move into an exciting…

Central London Gurdwara Trip

Year 8 Cultural Trip to the Central London Sikh Gurdwara

Monday 10 March 2014

“On Monday the whole of Year 8 went on a trip to London to see a real Gurdwara!  The bus journey was quite long (and loud!) but it was very much worth it once we got there.  The building itself wasn’t actually as big as I thought it would be but it was still a great experience.  Once inside we had to respect their religion by washing our hands, taking off our…

Mrs Hurren

On Friday 6th December, Year 7 PRE students attended a gifted and talented day at…

Peer Mentoring Programme

We are starting a new Peer Mentoring Programme. On Friday 6th September we held a training day for all students who had applied to be a Peer Mentor. It was brilliant; the external trainer spent the whole day sharing skills, knowledge and information with students from Years 9, 10 & 11. The students were outstanding in their contributions and showed very mature levels of commitment to becoming Mentors.

Our programme will be created by students and guided by staff. This will begin…

Examination Success 2013

These are the best ever results for the school. I would like to congratulate the pupils, the vast majority of whom met or exceeded national expectations and thank our parents/carers for their excellent support.

Last year we were the only school in Suffolk to have had 100% of our high prior attainers gain 5+ A* - C (including English and Maths) for two consecutive years. This year we have continued this record by making it three consecutive years.
