John Axtell our Head of School, told a packed assembly hall at last night’s annual awards evening that the school had deservedly won its place among the top two schools in Suffolk for achievement – with 58% of students achieving level 5 or higher in their GCSEs in 2017. He continued to wow the audience with the news that in total, 79% of students achieved a level 4 or more which puts the school among the top three schools in Suffolk in that respect.

Following our school tradition, Year 11 students who were nominated to be Head Girl, Head Boy or a Prefect recently enjoyed a trip to London to Westminster. As well as visiting the Jewel Tower at Westminster Palace, they enjoyed a tour of the Houses of Parliament, and found out among many other things, why Her Majesty the Queen is not allowed into the House of Commons. Mrs Leeks recently took part in the Norwich Triathlon Sprint Distance race - her first ever triathlon! It comprised a 750m swim in a lake, an 18km bike ride followed by a 5km run. Mrs Leeks said " I was really excited to be taking part and my 2 goals were to finish it, and to not stop on the run.
