Saving the rainforests

There will be a charity event on Thursday 2nd February to raise funds for the World Land Trust who purchase parts of the rainforest in order to preserve them.  Jo Capp in Mrs Hurren's tutor group has organised this fund raising event and everyone in 8RH is taking part.  There will be a cake stall at break and lunch, a bring and buy sale in the hall and there are felt leaves that have been made to clip on to ties or hair to symbolise the rainforest.  For every £50 raised, the World Land Trust…

News Update 5th January 2012

I would like to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. At the end of last term we received the ‘Academy Order’ from the Secretary of State for Education.  We have planned to convert to an Academy on 1st March 2012, at which time we will also change the name of the School, becoming ‘Stradbroke High School’.  Uniform for pupils at the school will not change.

Reminder – Year 11 Parents’ Evening on Wednesday 25th January 2012, starting at 5pm.
