Stradbroke Pyramid Music Morning 2017

On Tuesday 4th July, the music department at Stradbroke High School welcomed over sixty excited and enthusiastic Year 5 pupils from our feeder primary schools to our annual music morning. Congratulations to Mrs Leeks -Triathlete!

Mrs Leeks recently took part in the Norwich Triathlon Sprint Distance race - her first ever triathlon! It comprised a 750m swim in a lake, an 18km bike ride followed by a 5km run.  Mrs Leeks said " I was really excited to be taking part and my 2 goals were to finish it, and to not stop on the run. Duxford Trip Summer 2017

As a reward for their hard work we took our 14 Year 9 students to Duxford War Museum.  We had a great day out looking at all the aeroplanes and exhibits.  One exhibition involved a really cool sound and light display where we had headphones and hand held speakers that could connect up with beams of light. Stradbroke High School's Summer Concert 2017

An appreciative audience of family and friends filled the main hall on Thursday 29th June for our annual summer concert. The evening opened with an enthusiastic performance of 'La Bamba' by the school's orchestra. Stradbroke Students Perform at Prestigious 'Raising the Bar' Awards

Talented performing arts students from Stradbroke High School were invited by Suffolk County Council to open the county's prestigious 'Raising the Bar' education awards evening at Trinity Park in Ipswich on Monday 26th June. This annual event celebrates the success, achievements and hard work shown by individuals and educational organisations in Suffolk. VOSH discussed introducing shorts to the school uniform, these would be a set length, 129 year 7s, 8s, 9s and 10s thought it would be a good idea. We also said that we should ask the future year 7s what they thought as this would affect them too. The next stage is for Mrs Hurren to take the idea to Senior Management for consultation by the Governors.

Year 4's at Stradbroke
