An 11-16 Academy
Following our school tradition, Year 11 students who were nominated to be Head Girl, Head Boy or a Prefect recently enjoyed a trip to London to Westminster. As well as visiting the Jewel Tower at Westminster Palace, they enjoyed a tour of the Houses of Parliament, and found out among many other things, why Her Majesty the Queen is not allowed into the House of Commons. Year 6 pupils from local primary schools have just enjoyed a taster of lessons across the school in order to give them an idea of what to expect in September. The whole school went out to cheer on Stage Six of Britain’s premier road cycling race today which takes place entirely within Suffolk, a first for the county. The tour headed east from Newmarket and is on its way to the finish in the centre of Aldeburgh.
