In today's meeting it was decided that the remaining money should be given to our new gardening club for equipment or plants. We will get them to let us know how it is spent.
We also had a discussion about charity events in the coming year. There was a debate about whether we should have a whole week of charity events organised by the Houses which could then be a competition to see how much money they can raise, or whether there should be three main events spread out throughout the…Continue

Today VOSH took a full school assembly and each member talked about what we have achieved this year and what we would still like to do in the coming year. This year we have changed the name and logo of the school council, we have made the council optional and have a large number who choose to come on a Friday morning. We have raised money for charity, allocated specific roles such as website officers who update the website each week. We have members who take minutes of the meetings and…Continue

56 pupils from our feeder primary schools spent the morning with the Science and PE department burning food, measuring their fitness and investigating the behaviour of light. They used Science equipment they had not used or seen before and went away buzzing with enthusiasm after their experience.
It was great to meet our prospective pupils, all of whom were polite and followed instructions well. It is great that so many of them are budding scientists.
