Well done to Mrs Ryan and the Stradbroke Band who performed brilliantly on Friday 9th May at the Marina Theatre, Lowestoft. The evening was organised by Suffolk County Music Service and saw musicians from the North Suffolk String Ensemble, North Suffolk Youth Concert Band as well as our own band performing a varied selection of music. The Stradbroke Band rehearses every Friday in term time at Stradbroke High School.

On Wednesday 7th May as part of an enhanced learning day, Year 8 visited the internationally acclaimed music facilities at Snape Maltings. The guided tour included a visit to the wonderful concert hall with its amazing acoustics, as well as a look around the rest of the complex. The pupils also developed their understanding of the life and music of Benjamin Britten. Many thanks to the education team at Aldeburgh Music for an enlightening visit.
Mr J. Williams
Head of Music.
