It's been an absolute joy and a privilege to work with the fantastic cast of 'Joseph 2016'. This talented group of students have given their all to produce polished, high quality performances to a packed house across four days. Year 6 Philosophy Morning

Twenty Seven Year 6 students from a large number of primary schools came up to Stradbroke High School for a Philosophy morning today and had a great time. Main issues discussed this week was a possible fundraising event, an email expressing the idea of a gardener’s club and research into funding table tennis and table football equipment.
The table football table is due to be repaired by the caretaker and will cost very little because of the minor damage. Table tennis bats cost around £10 each and 72 balls would cost £20.

In the first VOSH meeting of March, there were new topics of discussion. A gardening club was suggested which would involve improving the flowerbeds in the courtyards. We are looking into finding a gardener to lead it – either a teacher or a professional and we will be sending out an email to ask which staff might like to be involved.

On Friday, 26th February VOSH met up and further discussed how to spend VOSH’s £300 budget. New ideas included a meditation club for GCSE students in order to relieve stress, private facilities for Year 11s such as a kettle and money toward air conditioning improvements in certain areas. Another idea was to fund replacement resources in English due to a large amount of missing pencils and other equipment.
