Over the past few months, a group of Year 9 and 10 pupils have participated in an evaluative essay competition, addressing the big issues in science and religion. With the aid of 12 short films by Professor Russell Stannard, Emeritus Professor of Physics at the Open University, and various classroom activities, pupils were invited to write a short 800-1200 word essay in two parts. The Stradbroke Village Website have launched a consultation about the future use of the Courthouse in Queens Street.
The Library is staying where it is in the Court House. Everything else is open to your ideas. They can’t promise that your individual idea will become reality, but they want all ideas to be shared and discussed.

We held a weekly Twilight class to watch some video clips from Professor Russell Stannard and carry out a variety of discussion and activities relating to Science and Religion. We covered topics such as Creation and Evolution, whether morality has evolved or comes from God, and whether discovering aliens would prove religion wrong. Sikh Visitor to Year 7 by Alex Pierce-Saunderson
On the 14th of February 2013, Bhupindar Singh Sually came to talk to the Year Sevens about being a Sikh. He was an interesting man and had lots to talk about. Sometimes he even changed the subject when he was talking, answering a completely different question.

Many congratulations to all the cast and chorus who perfomed so brilliantly in our production of 'Shake, Ripple and Roll' on the 6th and 7th of March. The music and drama combined perfectly in a stunning performance, which was clearly enjoyed by a packed house on both nights.
