ISM Bronze Certificate in Music for Stradbroke High School

Stradbroke High School has been awarded an ISM Bronze Certificate by the Incorporated Society of Musicians for recognition of the excellent work that it does for music in the school. This result is based on the fact that more than 10% of the GCSE Key Stage 4 cohort in 2017 took and achieved an A* - C in music. This puts Stradbroke in the top 526 schools across England.

Geography Field Trip to Flatford Mill

Year 9 took part in a very successful and enjoyable geography field trip on Thursday 15th March 2018 at Flatford Mill. Despite the recent heavy rain, which meant some of the sites were flooded, everyone collected plenty of data, which we can look forward to  analysing next lesson.

EEL Update

Over the term we have had an excellent talk from Emma Ford about the Paralympics, information on farm vehicles by William Lewis, a presentation on a variety of animals by Phoebe Smith and talks on eels and the Greek Alphabet by Mr Axtell and Mrs Hurren.

Well done to the Year 7's in particular who remained committed and who have challenged themselves by taking an active part.  We will have one more session next week with Jess Brown giving the talk and then we will have a break…

London Central Mosque Trip 2018

Duke of Edinburgh Navigation Training

In view of the weather forecast tomorrow and the extremely low temperatures predicted, we have taken the decision to postpone the planned DofE navigation training day on the grounds of safety. This trip will go ahead on an alternative date which we will advise you of in due course.
