Online Safety

Our Designated Safeguarding and PREVENT Lead is Mrs K. Millar.

Technology is moving and changing faster than most of us can keep up with. Parents often worry that they don't understand current technology as well as their child, and therefore don't know what to look out for and what safety measures are important. A good source of information and advice is: https://www.internetmatters.org or https://www.nspcc.org.uk/preventing-abuse/keeping-children-safe/online-safety/

As a school we take online safety very seriously, appropriate filters are used to limit pupils access to inappropriate materials without hindering their ability to learn about the world they live in. Pupils are taught about online safety as part of PSHE lessons and in Tutor Time activities so they are better prepared to face the online world knowing how to protect themselves and others.
